Dedicated to children's health for over a decade

Dr Lisa Pu-Hing Yu is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, with specialist paediatric training spanning the UK and Australia. After graduating from the University of Birmingham, she pursued further specialist training in Australia, where she has been caring for children and families for well over a decade.

Her practice philosophy is simple: every child deserves healthcare that is thorough, evidence-based, and delivered with genuine warmth. She takes the time to listen, explain complex medical matters clearly, and partner with parents in their child's care.

How to see Dr Yu

Here's what to expect when booking and attending your child's appointment.

Get a GP Referral

Ask your General Practitioner for a referral to Dr Lisa Yu. A valid GP referral is required for all new patients and enables you to claim a Medicare rebate.

Contact the Clinic

Call or email your preferred clinic to book an appointment. Our team will find a suitable time and let you know what to bring.

Send Relevant Documents

To help Dr Yu prepare for your child's appointment, please send through any relevant documents ahead of time, including:

  • Previous clinic or specialist reports
  • Test results (blood work, imaging, etc.)
  • School reports
  • Allied health reports (speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, etc.)

Appointment Day

Please arrive a few minutes early and bring the following:

  • Your child's Medicare card
  • The GP referral letter
  • Any relevant documents not previously sent
  • A list of current medications
  • Any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss

Consultation fees

All fees are payable at the time of your appointment. Paediatric consultations are not bulk-billed. The maximum consultation fee is $650. A Medicare rebate may apply.

How is complexity determined?

The fee depends on the nature and number of concerns discussed during your child's consultation. An estimate is provided at booking, however the clinician may reclassify the complexity level at the end of the consultation based on what was discussed.

High complexity

Multiple concerns requiring assessment, behavioural or developmental presentations, or consultations lasting 45 minutes or more.

Low complexity

A single, straightforward medical concern — for example, asthma, eczema, food allergy, constipation, or a growth concern.

Additional information

  • Medicare rebate — A partial rebate may be claimed with a valid GP referral and Medicare card. Please bring both to your appointment.
  • Reports & letters — Detailed reports (e.g., school, NDIS, or Centrelink documentation) are charged separately and vary based on complexity.
  • Cancellations — Please provide at least 3 business days' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. A cancellation fee may apply for late cancellations or missed appointments.
